You deserve to retire in style!

Central America (primarily Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Nicaragua) is rapidly becoming a great choice for retirement. All of these countries have a large number number of ex-pats living there and whether you are from Canada, the United States or somewhere in Europe, you can be assured that there is a neighborhood where you will feel welcome. We also encourage ex-pats to consider moving into local neighborhoods to truly experience (and benefit) living in your country of choice.

Benefits of living in Costa Rica, Belize, Panama, Roatan or Nicaragua is that you will have a much lower cost, BUT higher standard of living. For example, for approximately $2,000/month, you will be able to enjoy all of the amenities of home AND have someone to help you with the house cleaning, dishes, lawncare or a driver. Think about it...stop fretting over your house. Hire someone else to do it for you while at the same time supporting a local community.

Central America has rain forests, beaches, waterfalls, and islands and is even home to the Panama Canal. If you have ever considered living in paradise now is the time to make that a reality. Through consultation, our professional staff will help you find the right property, for the right price. No hard sales pitch, just excellent customer service. Costa Rica

There are many reasons why a person should consider Costa Rica. Below is a summary of some of those reasons.

Costa Rica has one of the highest standards of living in Latin America  and the purchasing power is greater in Costa Rica than in the United States or Canada. Costa Rica’s capital city is San Jose (pop. 3.1 million) and is one of the least expensive cost of living cities in the world. By comparison, it cost 14% more to live in Panama City than San Jose.

Costa Rica lies just hours from a number of mainland US cities by air, just a short 2 ½ hours from Miami. Costa Rica has been a snowbird migration destination for decades. Costa Rica is full of nature experiences. Beaches, eco-tourism, whitewater rafting are just some of the activities a expat can enjoy in this wonderful country.

Whatever the reasons are for retiring in Costa Rica, the tourist must consider some social implications of their move. Culture shock is almost certain. Lack of efficiency and of punctuality is the two main complaints about Costa Rican lifestyle.

Panama

Panama is safe, clean and affordable. These are just a few of the reasons that makes Panama such an appealing retirement location. Modern infrastructure, including top-class hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, casinos, bars, and so forth. Also, banking services, roads, telecommunication systems allow Panama to be an emerging market. There are also numerous convenient flights from the US and Canada.

Belize

The charming country of Belize is on the Caribbean coast, nestled between Mexico and Guatemala and offers an intriguing mix of tropical forests rich with wildlife, majestic mountains, mysterious Maya temples, and diving and fishing experiences beyond comparison. In a single day you can go from tropical forest to the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere.

Everyone around the world dreams about coming to an exotic tranquil locale, complete with sun-drenched beaches and limitless recreational activities on land and in beautiful tropical waters. Belize boasts all this and more not only for the retiree but for the entire family. Belize is well known as a travel destination around the world and this is attributed to primarily the lower cost of living, our tropical climate and the official language of Belize being English. Belize prides itself in providing schools with high academic standards and a reputation for excellence, good health care facilities, historic homes, convenient local shopping and most importantly warm and welcoming neighbors.

Bahamas

Not many places come across as perfect for retirement as the Bahamas. Remember that as a retired person, you’d most probably enjoy peace and quiet, and you can have plenty of that here. But you’d also like to get back together with the family for annual celebrations and get-togethers.

Apart from the scenic beauty of this area and the seclusion that is so important to your peace of mind, you have the reassurance of knowing that you can reach the United States easily whenever you need to. That’s what makes the Bahamas so special.

Living in the Bahamas, you’ll find a maritime, somewhat tropical climate. You’d have to get accustomed to it to really know how fortunate you are to have it. The temperature could be around 75°F, more or less average for the winter, which lasts from November to March in this region.

Dominican Republic

There’s no shortage of wonderful locations in which you can retire in various parts of the world. It may be a good idea to take a look at the Dominican Republic and see what this region has to offer. Surprisingly, many Americans have stumbled across this place by accident, often while they’ve been on vacation. But they seem to have been won over very quickly and taken the opportunity to relocate.

This is a region that is a feast for the eyes, with beautiful beaches, clear water, a wonderfully breezy environment and a lot more. But the reason why it is so popular is because it’s a place where you can live very comfortably for as little as $2,000 or even less. This sure is welcome news, whether you are a tourist or looking to invest in property here.
