The $22 billion U.S.
firm Emerson Electric started operating it first engineering and design center in Latin
America at a facility in Heredia, north of San Jose in Costa Rica. The facility will specialize in providing
engineering services and solutions for industry and business. Emerson is to
create here software and hardware solutions for auto, pharmaceutical, drinks,
and food companies who wish to improve their processes.
The company does
business in 150 countries.
